GOMEZ, DORIS MARY, 105. Doris Mary Gomez, 105, of Trinidad and Tobago, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2012 in Gainesville, FL. Doris was born in Santa Cruz, Trinidad on February 22, 1907. She is preceded in death by her husband Norman Gomez. She is survived by her children Joya Gomez, Carl Gomez, Vida O'Neal, Don Gomez, and Terry Chan-A-Shing; Grandchildren Michelle and Kwame Ryan, Karla and Brian Gomez, Tracey Pate, Dane Gomez and Melissa Roberts, Kevin Chan-A-Shing and Tessa Colston; and 8 Great-Grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 12:00 pm in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 10900 SW 24th Avenue, with Fr. Jeff McGowan as celebrant. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 am. Arrangements are under the care of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street.
