Pate A homemaker and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 8 a.m. Sunday, July 24, 2011, at Capitol House. She was 85 and a native of Batchelor. Visiting at New Southside Funeral Home, 924 S. 14th St., on Friday, July 29, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Dr. Lilton McQuarter. Interment in Port Hudson National Cemetery. She is survived by daughters, Lisa Davis and Sharon Pate; a sister, Rosa Walker; and three grandchildren. Preceded in death by her mother, Molly N. Davis; father, Phil Davis; sisters, Deanna Maten, Irene Casey, Emma Davis and Julia Richard; brothers, George Davis, Leon Davis, Felice Davis, Charlie Davis and Noxie Davis; and half brothers, Jimmy Davis and Demon Davis.   Published in The Advocate on July 28, 2011
