Pate Jr. A business owner in the steel industry and a resident of Metairie, he died Friday, May 6, 2011, in Ethel. He was 75, born Feb. 6, 1935, in Mississippi. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the post Korean War era. He is survived by his wife, Mary Boyle Pate; sons, Ricky Lynn Pate and Charles Michael Pate; daughter, Cyntia Pate-Besselman; a sister, Alfie Bullock; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lum Pate and Minnie Givengs Pate. Visiting at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, Brookhaven, Miss., on Tuesday, May 10, from noon until religious service at 2 p.m. Interment in Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven. He was a wonderful husband and father who was loved and will be dearly missed. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Kenner.
