I Love You Always, L Published in Shreveport Times on December 4, 2007 Jerry Pate HAUGHTON, LA - Funeral services for Jerry "Tater" Pate, 65, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2007 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home Chapel, with Msgr. Carson LaCaze officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday, February 2, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Hill Crest Funeral Home. Pops was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. He loved camping, hunting, tinkering, reading, traveling and spending time with family and friends. He retired after 30 plus years with Bell South. He will be greatly missed by all. Mr. Pate is preceded in death by his father and mother the late William and Bootsie Pate. He is survived by his wife, Linda, son Steven and wife Cheri, son Drew and wife Lisa; Grandchildren Ryan Pate, Lauren Pate, Joshua Pate, Kyle Pate, Samuel Pate and Ezra Pate; Brother, Billy Pate and wife Bobbie; Sister Annette Norris and husband Tommy. Pallbearers will be Huey Hines, Jerry Gilcrease,Sr., Don Smolik, Randall Robinson, Jerry Grice and Leroy Terry.
