    3. The owner of this List-serve has asked me not to post any more obituaries. There are several reasons, but the most important reason is that it was annoying people and causing some to drop from the list. I humbly apologize for causing any problems here as this is a wonderful genealogical source. I do hope that those who dropped out can be persuaded to rejoin. I will continue to enjoy all the postings that are made. Little here has been posted concerning my line, but there is always hope that this may change. May everyone have a good year.

    3. I'm sorry to see this happen. We're there times I was somewhat annoyed by the volume of posts but I also realized what a valuable service this is to me that some one can make the time to do this. So saddened to see this ending. 3. I was never annoyed by them at all. Scanned them for relevance and discarded non-pertinent ones. 3. Janice and all dictators of the list. I do not have the time to read all the post put on this site or any of the others I am subscribed to. I do take all the ones I don't read and save them for a later time when I am able to go through them. It may be after I retire that I get to them. I appreciate you posting all the obits even though I have rarely even opened any. They may really help me or someone else in the future. I don't understand why others can't just hit the delete button if they don't see any value in your postings or anyone else's for that matter. It annoys me that others are annoyed by your postings because they are too lazy to hit the delete button. It is easy to just sort by sender and then delete all the messages from that poster. Seems to me we may have some people on here wanting to control the minds and actions of others because they are more important than the rest of us. I will also bet they have more time on their hands than the rest of us. I would like to know the names of the complainers, so I can delete any messages sent from them in the future. I am sure I have no common Ancestry with them that I care to know about. I thought the purpose of the list server was to disseminate information about the Pates, not to judge the value of the information for others. I will gladly send the unsubscribe message if being my big brother is the purpose of the list instead of getting the information out.
