PATE Pate Thadddeaus "Thad" Wilton Pate, long time resident of Mobile and Fairhope, Alabama passed away on Jan. 6, 2013. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Fara Pate. He was co-owner of Waller-Brothers of Mobile and instrumental in bringing office machines to the company. Thad, had a great sense of humor, with that said, he would like for all of you to know he was often mistaken as Rhett Butler. Thad is survived by two sons Alan Pate (Barbara) of Fairhope and Gary Pate (Sylvia) of Montgomery. He had one grandchild, Hannah Jean Pate of Fairhope. Thad grew up in the Wilmer Hall Children's Home with his 5 brothers and sisters, Ella, Maggy, Marie, Eugene and Daniel. After retirement Thad enjoyed real estate investment in Mobile and Baldwin counties. Also, as an avid golfer with 7 holes in one, he was a long time member of the Skyline C.C and later joined Rock Creek G.C. A memorial service will be held on Thursday Jan. 10 at Grace Anglican chmch located at 817 Estella Drive, Fairhope, AL 36532 (across from McDonald's) at 11 :00 am. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Grace Anglican Chmch 251-929-1606. The family will receive visitors at l0am prior to the service.
