Pate Jr. PATE JR., CHARLES LEE "C.L." A resident of Ethel, he died at 8 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004, at his residence. He was 65 and a native of Baton Rouge. Visiting was at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday. Visiting at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until religious service at 2 p.m. Friday, conducted by Chaplain Gary Pearce. Interment in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Survived by his wife, Myrtle Ann Pate; two daughters, Brandee R. and husband Joe Kimble and Robin Pate Biggs and husband Cage Biggs; two sons, Charles Wayne and wife Shannon Pate and Paul T. Pate; a sister-in-law, Peggie Clampitt; former wife, Barbara Pate; brother-in-law, George Hudson; eight grandchildren; and a host of great friends. Preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Pate Whetstone; father, Charles Pate; a son, Michael Pate; and a daughter-in-law, Jackie Pate.
