She was 73 and a native of Mississippi, born on April 9, 1939, to Charlie and Lou Crane Boyte, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, A.C. Pate Jr. Survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Debbie Pate, and Mike and Wendy Pate; daughter, Cindy Pate Besselman and husband Jim; brothers, R. W. Boyte and John David Boyte; 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. Visiting at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, Brookhaven, Miss., on Saturday, July 28, from 1 p.m. until service at 3 p.m. Interment in Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Brookhaven.
