Almeeta Adams Pate SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Almeeta Adams Pate, 95, will be held Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Southside. Officiating will be Brother Denny Duron. Interment will follow in Adams Cemetery in Logan, TX. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2008. Almeeta was born October 9, 1912 in Carthage, TX to Albert and Cora Barnett. She passed away February 17, 2008 in Shreveport, LA. She was married to Lorenzo H. Adams, they were in the ministry together until his death in 1947 then she continued the ministry, pastoring churches in Texas and Louisiana until the early 1960's when she retired and married Basil Pate who passed away in 1994. She faithfully taught Sunday School at First Assembly of God in Shreveport. She was preceded in death by her son Lorenzo Adams, daughters, Elise Lane and Sadie Adams, stepdaughter, Fay Rust, three sisters and four brothers. She is survived by Laverne Randle and husband Billy; stepchildren, Glen Pate and Shirley Paine; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Doyce Randle, Dale Randle, Steve Randle, Kenneth Randle, Ronnie Bishop and Larry Rust.
