Clifford L. Pate HAUGHTON, LA - Clifford L. Pate, 73, died March 5, 2010 at Willis Knighton, Bossier. Mr. Pate was born August 24, 1936 to John Martin Pate and Velda Tibbit Pate in Shreveport, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Delores Funderburk and brother, John Raymond Pate. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Janey Pate, his son, Paul Pate, sister, Juanita Norman of Longview, TX, and brother, Stan Forshee, wife Barbara, of Jacksonville, AR. Cliff graduated from Winnsboro High School in Winnsboro, TX in 1954. He later graduated from the University of Oklahoma. He was an avid fan of football. His favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys, the Oklahoma Sooners, and the University of Texas Longhorns. He retired from the U.S Air Force in 1980, and then retired in 1999 from LSUHSC. He loved his pets especially the cats and took great care of them! He made sure their life was as comfortable as possible! His cats were great companions to him!
