Born Jan. 6, 1890 in Douglas County [GA], Mrs. PATE was the daughter of the late Tandy and Josephine BEATENBAUGH BENNETT and the widow of Arthur E. PATE. She lived in Coweta County for most of her life and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Dec. 17 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy BURKS officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery with Marvin COOK, Harold BANKS, Mike FINDLEY, Charles MOORE, Abner CRUM and Max MOORE serving as pallbearers. Survivors include her daughters, Blanche SWEELY and Mavis POLK, both of Walthourville; son, Donald PATE of Hinesville; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and a number of great-great-grandchildren.
