Jeremy, Henrietta was born in Emanuel County, Georgia on 18 Jun 1847. Her parents were Irwin and Cynthia Coleman Kirkland. She died 7 Jun 1906. She and husband John Thomas Pate are buried at Oklahoma Baptist Church Cemetery located near the border of Crisp, Wilcox, and Turner Counties. I think that the cemetery is actually in Crisp. Jacob Parkerson. The James David Pate mentioned in the subject line is (I believe) the son of Tempty Parkerson (and her husband Rev. William Pate), and the grandson of Rev. Jacob Parkerson. Would anyone be able and willing to share 1850 U.S. Census information that shows the family of James David Pate and Jane Moore? I believe that I am descended from them through their son John Thomas Pate (first married, I believe, to Henrietta Kirkland). John Thomas Pate was the father of a Pate ancestor of mine named William Bennett Pate (married once to Victoria Love, and then to Maud Odom), a major land owner in Crisp and Turner counties.
