    3. I think this is my line of Pates from Wayne County, North Carolina. I'll check my paperwork this weekend and email you back. I do know that I have Ms. Parkersons name as Tempy. That was a very common name in NC. I have several Tempys in my lines. -----Original Message----- From: Jeremy Utt [mailto:jeremy_utt@hotmail.com] Sent: Thursday, January 19, 2006 10:53 PM To: PATE-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [PATE GENEALOGY] Pate Information Hello Folks, I have just discovered an interesting website with Pate family information: http://www5.familytreemaker.com/users/r/u/s/Pate--Russ/GENE2-0003.html The person who placed Pate information on this site is certainly at odds with John Ben Pate's account of the Pate genealogy. Does anyone have anything to offer as a comment to this website's information? Please look at the following, as a start: "Descendants of Charles Pate I Generation No. 3 3. REV. WILLIAM3 PATE (SAMUEL2, CHARLES1) was born 1750 in Gloucester, Co., Virginia, and died 1837 in Warwick, Georgia. He married (1) UNKNOWN 1785 in North Carolina. He married (2) TEMPTY PARKERSON 1811 in Georgia. Children of Rev. Pate and Unknown are: 4. i. SAMUEL4 PATE, b. 1786, Newborn, North Carolinia; d. February 1849, Washington, Wilkerson, Co., Georgia. ii. BETSY PATE, b. 1789, North Carolina; d. 1871, Worth Co., Georgia; m. SAMUEL STORY. Children of Rev. Pate and Tempty Parkerson are: iii. NANCY4 PATE, b. January 08, 1812. iv. MARY PATE, b. 1814. v. ELIJAH BENNET PATE, b. April 15, 1815; m. MARY SMITH. vi. JAMES PATE, b. January 29, 1817, Pulaski Co., Georgia; m. JANE MOORE. vii. SARAH PATE, b. 1819." Jeremy Utt Williamsburg, VA
