Hello, Stephen. I don't think either of the Jeremiah Pates you mentioned are "mine". I know that the one I'm researching died in Cass Co. IL on 4 Feb 1917. The Jeremiah Pate I'm looking for was either born in Missouri (as stated on his death certificate) or in Illinois (as stated on a census transcript & his Civil War Muster sheet). Thanks, though.
