Hello everyone, Interesting discussion.. I would like to ask if anyone would send me the names, dates, locations, etc., of all the other siblings of Willoughby, son of Shadrack. This is what I have below. I only have the sons. I would like to point out that Penelope was known as Pennina "Penny" who married John Peelle not Peale. Peelle is the original family spelling that goes all the way back to at least 1673. My great granddad dropped the second "l" from his signature. I have a news paper article and picture of Pennina and five generations of girls taken in Indiana. Note that I have Shadrack as the son of Charles (1729) who was the brother to Col Thoroughgood (1735). I have seen the tombstoneof his son, another Colonel Thor bron 1780... He married Aseneath "Teney" Smith Abt. 1809 in Near Gibson, Richmond Co., NC; born 28 Jul 1788; died 05 Dec 1855 in Pate Cemetery, Richmond Co., NC. Notes for Willoughby Pate: !Willoughby is supposedly buried at the old Willoughby Pate farm, owned or occupied in 1958 by Duncan D. Norton. The Willoughby Pate farm is not far from the old Thoroughgood Pate place, about 3 miles south of Gibson, NC.
