Bob: In my OPINION you are better off using the "Free" GedCom sites. One note of CAUTION. Some of the sites let you search for a brief period, usually 10 to 14 days, for free IF you (1) register (2) give them a credit card number. It is IMPORTANT that you clearly understand how and what you need to do stop the "free" period and CANCEL the pre-subscription to avoid buying a non refundable subscription which will be charged to your credit card. All of these sites will "accept" your GedCom files and display them for others to access. READ and UNDERSTAND the PRIVACY and ACCEPTANCE - USE and COPYRIGHT paragraphs of ALL of these GENEALOGICAL CONTENT sites. There is MONEY involved and the providers of these FREE and SUBSCRIPTION content sites want to make MONEY OFF OF YOU.
