Bob, I don't know much of what MyTrees/Kindred Connections have to offer in the way of databases, census records, etc., but they do want you to subscribe. The rate is $5 for 10 days; $15 for a month; and $100 for a year. As an alternative to paying they give you an option of "banking" hours by transcribing information for them.
