Joel I am impressed to say the least. I found an obscure article written about Robert C. Pate in Mexico. I will find the web address and foreword it to you. It was quite detailed. Notes: Robert H. Pate and His father both work at scullin steel co. in st. Louis located on Manchester Blvd. Robert H. Pate was indeed married twice as you had indicated with two children from the first marriage before my grandmother. I went to the library downtown and printed out the sept 4th 1914 article about the gambling king. Robert H. Pate ,Robert L. Pate and some of their relatives are buried in the Cavelry Cemetery in St. Louis off of I-70. For others I have found a Pate Family in Monroe County Illinois across the river from St. Louis, buried in an old "Black Cemetery" They where white and are buried on the outer edge of the old cemetery near the Mississippi. It is Jonathan M. Pate and his two young daughters who died shortly after he was buried and their mother remarried. The wife's name was Anna who married Thomas Bevers and became Anna Bevers. The two daughters were Mary and Parmecai Pate both died around 10 years old I have a copy of the estate sale that Thomas Bevers held on August 2nd 1862. Thank you so very much for your detailed work Say a prayer for Jinks Michael
