She was born Tuesday, July 8, 1924 to the late Shelby and Bessie (Ransom) Feagin. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Virgil Wood. She was retired from International Shoe Co. and was a member of Park Ave. Baptist Church. Mrs. Pate is survived by her husband, Ezra Pate; one son, Mitchell L. Wood (wife Marie) of El Dorado, KS; two daughters, Brenda Pruitt (husband Buddy) of Judsonia, AR and Betty Smith (husband Gorman) of Searcy, AR; one sister, Lois Etheridge of Bald Knob, AR; a stepson, Keith Pate (wife Kathy) of Pangburn, AR; a stepdaughter, Twyla Land (husband Spencer) of Judsonia, AR; three grandchildren, five step grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and five step great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m., Friday, August 6, 2010. The funeral service for Mrs. Pate will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 7, 2010, at Park Ave. Baptist Church, in Searcy, with Bro. Keith Lunsford and Rev. Jim Cantrell officiating.
