This is perhaps more than you wanted to know about the matter. However, on 2 August 2010 I was stricken with convulsions resulting from chronic subdural hematoma (blood clots on the brain surface), which in turn resulted from blood thinner toxicity. An excellent surgical team was able to remove the clots and get me out of danger and on the road to recovery. I have to relearn some fine motor skills like typing, but my speech memory and mental abilities were not permanently impacted. I walk with a cane, more for safety than support. Linda and I will be on a cruise to Alaska 28 Aug to 10 Sep 2010 so I will be away from the Pate List Serve for awhile longer. Thank you for the cards and notes and especially for the prayers.
