Pioneer Weleetka Woman, Mrs. Virgie Pate, Dies Tuesday A pioneer resident of Weleetka for 50 years died Tuesday in the Okfuskee Memorial hospital. She was Mrs. Virgie Viola Pate, 76, who died following a heart attack and stroke. Services were Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Free Will Baptist church with Rev. E. A. Spiller officiating. Mrs. Pate was a member of the First Baptist church. She was born in January, 1881, in Jamestown, Ark. Survivors include only a grandson, Robert Pate, and a granddaughter Mrs. Bill Kale of Edmond and two brothers, Elms (Elmo?) Cullins of Newport, Ark, and John of Bateville, Ark. Burial was in the Weleetka cemetery under the direction of the Spiller funeral home. Nita's note: Mrs. Bill Kale apparently was Phyllis.
