Funeral Rites Held For Marvin Pate Marvin Pate, 42, residing the past years in Edmond, Okla, was born at Hobson, south of Weleetka, April 12, 1908, and died April 24, 1950, suddenly of a heart attack. Mr. Pate's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Pate moved from Hobson to Weleetka where he graduated from the Weleetka High School. In March 26, 1930, Marvin Pate married the former Miss Madeline Capart, at Weleetka. Funeral Rites for Marvin Pate were held Wednesday, 2:30 o'clock, at the First Baptist Church. Service were under the direction of the Weleetka Funeral Home, with Rev. H. D. Stephens, officiating. Internment was made at the Weleetka Cemetery. Survivors are his wife, Madeline, daughter Phyllis Jean, son, R. T. Pate and mother, Mrs. J. R. Pate. Nita's notes: Wm. D. Pate, brother of J. R. Pate, uncle of Marvin and Melvin Pate, is not noted as a survivor in this obituary also although he didn't die until 1951. The family may not have known where he was and presumed him deceased. Wm. D.'s death certificate states he was living in the Ardmore, OK, Veterans Home for 3 years prior to his death September 14, 1951 at the Veterans Hospital at McKinney, Texas.
