This will display-"Y-DNA Test Results (Alleles) for Project Members" chart. It is generally held that Charles Pate b 1 May 1729, Bertie Co., NC is a descendant of Thoroughgood Pate. On the "Y-DNA Test Results (Alleles) for Project Members" scroll down to the Thoroughgood Pate group. You will note entries that look like this: 76 132030 Hollis M. Pate, b. 1810, South Carolina *I2b1* 15 24 15 9 15 15 11 13 11 14 12 31 Disregard the "76" as this number is subject to change. The 132030 is the test kit control number of the living man who provided a DNA sample. His MDDA (Most Distant Documented Ancestor) is Hollis M. Pate, b 1810 in SC, also a descendant of Thoroughgood Pate. The number in Red - I2b1 is a haplogroup number. The next 12 numbers are Allele or marker values. This participant had only a 12 marker analysis. For privacy and security purposes, the name and address of the Project member are not publicly displayed.
