Loretta M. Scott (nee Eads) of Ellisville, Missouri (formerly of Sullivan, Missouri), passed away in St. Louis, Missouri on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at the age of 84 years. Loretta was born on October 21, 1925 in Cuba, Missouri to the late Arthur and Ruth (Pate) Eads. On December 30, 1960 she was united in marriage to John Henry Scott of Sullivan, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by siblings: Robert, Eleanor, Arthur, John, and James (Eads), as well as her late daughter Tracy Gawer and her husband the late Ronald Gawer, both of Sullivan. Loretta was honored in the World War II Memorial for having served in the Neidringhaus Defense Plant during the war. She authored two books on family genealogy. Loretta loved cooking for others, music, cats, flowers, dressing fabulously, and spoiling her grandchildren. She is survived by her son Michael P. Scott and his wife Angie of Sullivan, Missouri; two daughters, Hallie Scott Kline of Maplewood, Missouri, and Sally Scott Blackburn and her husband Bill of Valley Park, Missouri; grandchildren Julie Darrah, Jeniffer Rubenstein, Scott Gawer, Johnny Scott, Nicholas McClain Scott, Courtney Kline, Margaret Blackburn, Eric Blackburn, and D.J. Chilton; great-grandchildren Dillon Schmidt, Samuel Rubenstein, Madison Darrah, Adam Darrah, and Kaitlyn Blackburn; other relatives and friends. Funeral Service were held at 3 PM from the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan. Interment followed in the Odd Fellows Memorial Cemetery in Sullivan.
