I wanted to express my concern and prayers for Joel's return to good health. I'm a semi-lurker. I've contributed some, but work takes up so much of my time, I can't contribute as much as I wish I could. I'm from the south AL and FL Pates, though I'm in Texas now. Joel has helped me on more than one occasion to straighten out the threads of my ancestors. He has enabled me to communicate with cousins I never knew existed. I could not have done this without his help. It was wonderful to actually meet him and Linda and so many of you experts in Virginia in '08. Clovis, thank you for letting us know. You have had your share of troubles, too. We're happy you are always there for us, too. To Joel: We love you and we want you to get well very soon. We need you and miss you. Janis Pate Baker
