Duanne E. Pate Published: Thursday, July 8, 2010 11:15 AM CDT Duanne E. Pate, 72, of Gering, died Wednesday, June 30, 2010, due to injuries received in a car accident. A memorial service was held at 10 a.m.,Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff, with Pastor Gary Flom officiating. Cremation will take place at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory in Scottsbluff. Memorials may be made to the family. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.dugankramer.com. Duanne Edward Pate was born July 22, 1937, in Johnstown, Neb., to Merle C. and Lorraine (Edan) Pate. At an early age, his family moved to Idaho where he contracted polio. He graduated in 1956 from Boise Senior High. After moving numerous times, he settled in Scottsbluff. Duanne married Wanda (Miracle) Pate and to this union two sons, Jeff and Eddie were born. He enjoyed a full life, and on April 12, 1998, he married Dolly Fricke. He is survived by his sons, Eddie (Tracy) Pate of North Carolina, Jeff (Kristy) Pate of Minatare, and step-sons Loren Fricke of Omaha, Rodney (Christie) Fricke of Douglas, Wyo., and step-daughter Margaret (Bob) Baker of Douglas, Wyo., grandchildren, Adrian Pate, Amanda Pate, Kendra Moore, Tasia Sanderson, Hunter Sanderson, Taven Pate, and Alexia Pate, along with numerous step-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his wife, Dolly; his father and mother; a sister; and step-son, Danny.
