    1. [PATE] PATE in Carter County, Oklahoma
    2. Sharon Fitzpatrick
    3. It's interesting that my husband's Pates were in Carter County also about this time. They were in Healdton, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory in 1900. I don't believe that there is a connection, however. My husband's came from Georgia to Texas to Indian Territory. I do think that I noticed a Pate I couldn't identify in an Ardmore directory - probably 1939 or 1946 directory. I asked my mother-in-law about him but she couldn't remember any other Pate family in town. Now I wonder if he was one of yours.
