Joel, I am so glad you are back and hopefully feeling better! I found an obituary for a brother of Evelyn Haman Lasseter. Bennett Pate Haman, born 20 Mar 1912, d 7 May 1990. He and Evelyn were children of James Monroe Haman & Jane Pate. The obituary for Bennett P Haman, Sr appeared in the Fresno Bee [CA] 10 May 1990. Some highlights: age 78, funeral was at Heaton Memorial Chapel, Sonora [CA], burial at Clovis Cemetery; was pastor of Big Oak First Baptist Church in Sonora; also pastored at 4 more churches; wf Nellie Cook-Haman; 2 sons, Bennett Jr & Jim, both of Fresno; 2 daughters Beth Kempton of Fair Oaks & Janet C Bates of FL; two sisters, Jane Plowden & Evelyn Lasseter, both of GA; 12 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren Jane Pate, mother of Bennett P Haman, Evelyn Haman, and Janie Mae Haman never appears on a census with her husband & family. She is on 1910 census age 23 in her father's household, Bennett Pate, Turner Co GA.
