Jinks: I think this may be part of your family. My neighbor has Pate grandchildren. The only information I have is this: Charlie Pate ( possible Charles O. Pate) born 1878 or 1879 TX. married ca. 1901 to Beulah Unknown. Children: William born 1902 (16 Sep 1901 AZ per AZ death cert.) TX per 1930 Fed. Census for Casa Grande , Pinal Co., AZ, Jewell born ca. 1906 TX, Lettie born 1912 TX, Bayless E. born abt. 1915 TX, Marvin O. born 15 Feb 1918 ( Social Security) . The William born 1901 could possible be Saryial W. born 1902 TX on the 1910 Morris Co. TX Fed. Census and Jewell born 1906 TX (same census), and child Nellie born 1909 would most likely be married. This Charlie ( I think) is the son of Bailus Irvin Pate born 1840 AL and Sarah Virginia Joiner. In 1930 this family is in Casa Grande, Pinal Co., AZ. ( I live there now). Any information would be helpful to them. They are really nice people.

Thanks Joel, Thanks for the resources I'll have a dig about. I was in Sri Lanka about 10 years ago doing some minor family research. It's worth noting that at the time there was still a healthy amount of Anti-British feeling, the colonial past still being fresh in some minds.... cheers Stu On 5/8/06, PATE-D-request@rootsweb.com <PATE-D-request@rootsweb.com> wrote: > > Content-Type: text/plain > > PATE-D Digest Volume 06 : Issue 27 > > Today's Topics: > #1 Re: [PATE GENEALOGY] Ceylon / Sri ["Joel Pate" <patej@nettally.com > >] > > Administrivia: > To unsubscribe from PATE-D, send a message to > > PATE-D-request@rootsweb.com > > that contains in the body of the message the command > > unsubscribe > > and no other text.
