Jim Conboy > > Hi Jim, I have been searching and searching for the ancestors of Bridgette Loretta McHugh of Susquehanna Co., PA. She also went by the name of Bridgette Kane as she was unofficially adopted and raised by her Aunt Margaret McNulty Kane and her husband John Kane. All I know is Margaret and John were born in County Mayo, Ireland in May of 1851 and May of 1845. I think Bridgette was born on the ship coming from Ireland or in NY City on landing or possibly in Buffalo, NY on January 22, 1889. Bridgette's mother, Catherine McNulty, died shortly after her birth and her mother's sister, Margaret, raised her. Bridgette died in Montrose, Susquehanna Co., PA in `1936 and is buried at Dalton, PA. She married Harry Jefferson Greene in 1906. He was born in Taylor or Dixon City, Pa and died in 1944 and is buried in Danville, PA. That's all I know about the family. Bridgette is my husband's grandmother. Any info you can find would greatly be appreciated. Thanks. Karen Hillis [email protected]
