All: My plan is to have a model off the Tompkins County, NY page. I was told that we can do any format we choose. I agree that our page is in sad shape. I must determine of what is there, what can we use. I don't want to offend anyone and remove something that someone has spent time and effort to have posted. If anyone has time please visit this site and see how wonderful it is. http://www.rootsweb.com/~nytompki/ I am not as prepared to go all out right away and make our page exactly like the Tompkins County Page. I am hoping that the format that we do choos will allow for growth without to much work. If I can crate these documents in tables and add the information as it comes in I think we can get there. I have just moved my personal page and am trying to decide on a format for it as well. The only thing I had started on was a basic template (or format) if anyone was curious and went to my home page. I would appreciate some feedback on thought of the Tompkins County Page. Welcome, and thank you! Now a question -- it's probably me, but are we "losing" data on the county page? Seems we used to have cemeteries, no? Is the GenWeb's new agenda to delocalize county pages in favor of a statewide base? The local items are what make up a county's character and are an expression of the people who live (or did live) there. That would be a shame to lose'! This is not criticism - it's just "wondering." (I must be aging - I seem to be resisting change!) Thanks, again! Elaine of Norman and Elaine researching DICKEY [email protected]
