LDS Ancestral file lists as a child of Christopher Sherman and Patience Childs (who married 7 April 1785, RI) as their first daughter Mary Brady Childs b. 19 Feb 1780, Portsmouth, New Port, RI. Does any researcher of this line know if Mary was an illegitimate child of Patience or is the submitter of this information confused? Mary went on to marry David Dewers in 1799 in Kingsbury, Washington, NY and had a daughter Ruth who married to Simeon Bolles, who are my GGG Grandparents. She and David lived in Jessup and died in 1848 and 1850, respectively, and are reportedly buried in Birchardville. Kandy Fancher Bowden
