Does anyone know anything about the William LEWIS that is buried in the Lynn Cemetery at the Presbyterian church just north of Springville? ON STONE: "In memory of William Lewis, Who departed this life, Oct 4, 1850 Ae. 53y 1m 27d" Spouse? Children? place of birth? Parents? He seems to be a prime candidate for father of my Julianna maria LEWIS of Springville that married Pardon WELCH. To date, I have been not able to connect her to any of the Tri-county LEWIS families. I think she had a brother James P. Lewis. The 1880 Springville census shows James' parents being born in CT. He was a witness at Julianna-Pardon's wedding. If anyone is researching any LEWIS line in NE PA, I would like to know if any of this crosses your ressearch lines.
