The Biographical Dictionary of Pennsylvania Legislators is a terrific resource for your early PA or New England names. Also Delaware names. Parts of DE were PA before 1710. I found one of mine that had come from MA to PA in late 1600s/early 1700s. The first two volumes of Lawmaking and Legislators cover the legislators who served from 1682 until 1756 and are indexed at this site. Volume Three should be done in July. SLC library has Vol One (not sure about Vol Two) and you can order copies of the pages that you are interested in.
