Hello List! A grgranparent of mine by the name of Anthony Barrett resided in Dunmore, Luzerne County in the 1860's and 1870's. Naturally I believe he was probably employed within the coal mines there as well. He was married to Ann Scott, naturally both of them from Ireland. Now I do know that my father was born in Forest City in the 1920's, and his father in the Nicholson area in 1900, and wouldn't be surprised that his father resided at or within the Forest City area at some point in time. Eventually, grgrandad James Francis Barrett, his son Peter/Paul/Joseph (yes, he went by all 3 names) and my father Paul all ended up in Binghamton, NY. James worked for the RR as a baggageman and was on the route to Hoboken NJ. He married to a Delia (or Bridget) Golden of the Friendsville area. Wondering if anyone can help me tie up some of these Barrett family's I keep coming across in Susq. County.
