Cathy, I am just starting to research my Carpenter roots, but I believe Obadiah is a g..ggrandfather of mine. If you go to familysearch.org and type in his name, and scroll down to the entries where they show pedigree, you'll find lots of interesting info, much the same as Peter showed.
