Hi Peter, Would your Carpenters be related to my Lyman Carpenter b 5 May 1796 died 19 Nov 1873 in NYS, married (1) Almira Cook and (2) Altana Curtis 19 Oct 1848. He was the son of Charles Carpenter and Lucy Darling. I know at one point, Lyman owned property in Pennsylvania.
