So someone else looking it up on CD is a transcription (or a copy) of a copy of a copy of the actual item -- not something one would consider to be highly accurate information. And certainly some films leave a lot of information open to interpretation, depending on the quality of the original and/or film. I have heard that Heritage Quest is going to put the ENTIRE US Federal Census, all 12,555 rolls, 1790-1920, online at some time in the near future -- most likely as a subscription service to commercial users such as libraries. hmmm ...
