    1. The Burdick family of Clifford, PA.
    2. Charles Cox
    3. Greetings, I just joined the list. I'm in search of information on the family and descendants of Stephen & Mary (Church) Burdick of Hopkinton, RI who settled in Clifford Township, Susquehanna County. Elias Burdick was a son of Stephen & Mary Burdick's, and he and his wife, Sarah, had children Stephen and Caleb Burdick who were raised in Clifford. Apparently there is a Burdick Cemetery in Clifford where Mary (Church) Burdick is buried, along with other members of the Burdick family. I would love to share information with any other Burdick descendants. I am a descendant of Joel Burdick, Stephen & Mary (Church) Burdick's oldest son. Warm regards, Sally Cox [email protected] Anchorage, Alaska

    3. Hi there. Regarding your Harris line I just wanted to mention that I am working on Frank Burchell of Harmony, Susq.Ct who was (we believe) either married to and/or fathered a child with a Eliza Harris ........ that child named Milton Thaddeus Burchell. This birth would have been around 1872 (as I recall) and no, we have no documentation on it ...... it amounts to a family account passed down by the great aunts! Regards, Ken Burchell

    3. I am new to the list, and only recetnly began to investigate my NE PA roots in detail. I apologize if I get some of the counties and localities wrong. I have also subcribed and posted a message to the Wyoming Co. list. I should also subscribe to any Luzerne Co list that exists, but have been unable to find the list so far. It would be very useful if there were a NE PA list. I know that there is NE PA chat, but I do not know what the schedule is. I have also checked the several GenWeb sites, which have been helpful. Right now, I am mainly looking for info on Elijah Harris, my ?th great Grandfather burried at the "Clark?" Lemon Cemetery. He married a CARR. This information came to me a few years ago from the Rev. Garford Williams of Nicholson PA who has been so helpful to me on my Decker line. I would also like to contact him also, if you know of him. I have his mailing address, but I wonder if he is on line now? I must apologize for not being as familiar as I should be on geography of NE PA. I am not certain which county Lemon and Nicholson are in. Rev. William mentioned in a letter to me that Elijah HARRIS's genealogy was on his tombstone. I would very much like to get that information and would be willing to reimburse all related costs, travel etc. I know there were some early Harris names in the region, but I can not piece the puzzle together and have not found any IGI that fits. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Mike Burnett [email protected] Cave Creek, AZ ave Creek, AZ

    1. Re: Can anyone tell me
    2. Hi all, Do I feel as though I have egg on my face, A few days ago I sent in this question, Can anyone tell me, and I asked questions about Susq. Co. Hist. Soc. and ect. I got two replies very promptly. One from MJ and one from someone else. The second one was someone that had said they had been there a day or two before and said they may had been able to help Had they known sooner. I went to reply and by mistake deleted it and there- for had no address. I have tried to figure away to reply and say thank you for the e-mail and the thought and have had no success in trying to find it in this computer anywhere. True I don't know much about these machines, except for the bare basics. Anyway I hope whoever it was sees this and knows that I am greatful for the thought and the time it took to write to me. To everyone else please forgive my using this site for this purpose and taking up your time. And I hope everyone had a great 4th. May everyone have a blessed day. Patti

    1. Re: SNYDER ROLL CALL
    2. Hi, I know of a family of Snyders, however at this minute I need to get a little more info before I will be able to give you much to see if they of this line. One thing I can tell you is that ??????Snyder was married to a lady who's first name was Bertha. Bertha later married a man named ??????Norton. When she was married to Snyder they had a son Clearence and a daughter Mildred. They may have had more children I am not sure but can try to find out. If this sounds like it may be of any help let me know and I will search on. If this turns out to be a group that you are looking for I should be able to help with a line to this date. Take care and God bless you and yours. Patti
