    1. McKeeby line
    2. George Huber
    3. Dear List, I have been doing some reserach about the McKeeby's line. I wrote this into the computer and I could send anybody interested the full record. I will quote from Commemorative Biographical REcords of Northereastern Pennsylvania about the McKeebys under a listing for Samuel McKeeby. Anyways here is the listing: "Mathew McKeeby, was a native of Scotland, and came to America about the year 1730, locatin in Sussex county, N.J., where he married a Miss Courtright who was of Holland birth. They made their home at what is now known as the Brick House, in Sussex county, opposite Milford, Pike Co., Penn. He was killed by the Indians on an island while crossing the Delware river on his way to a gristmill. He had two sons, John and Gilbert. The latter married a Miss Shay, whowas also of Holland descent, and to them were born three sons, William, John and Gilbert. The last named and his wfie, Leah (Kater) were the grandparents of our subject and both were natives of Sussex county, N.J. where they continued to reside until 1830. Coming to Susquehanna county, Penn., in that year they located in Bridgewater township...." Anyways I think anybody who has any McKeeby blood is related to this line. I am related to a William McKeeby born in 1782. I think his father was Gilbert McKeeby. Does anybody know anything about this line? thanks, George Huber

    3. Deb.. The Ingalls Genealogy was complied by Charles Burleigh, MD Malden, MA printed 1903 reprinted 1984 and 1991. I don't think your Burleigh is the same one.. Do you think your line was buried in Great Bend? Will be happy to look for you if you don't live near there. Janet

    3. Hi from Ohio..here's an off-the-wall question for you. Do you know anything about the author of the Ingalls genealogy you quoted? Janet had mentioned before that someone named Charles Burleigh wrote one, and that just happens to be the name of my great-great grandfather, who was born in Great Bend in 1832. Looking for his family is the only reason I've been on this list for a couple of years now, and I still haven't seen him! Does the book give the date and place it was published? Any clues? Thanks, Deb ---------- > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected] > Subject: Ingalls Family > Date: Monday, August 02, 1999 8:25 PM > > Janet, > > Lydia Ingalls parents were Abijah and Elizabeth (Hutchinson) Ingalls and they > were from Andover, MA. 3. Thomas and Paula, I am looking for information on Daniel Tyler who married a Clarinda. Their children were: Doris or Dorus, Betsy, Ami Uri, Lucy, El Electa, and Charles. My Great Grandfather was Charles Tyler (11/9/1821 - 1877) of Chenango Co. He, Charles, married Mercy Ann Bixby of McDoughan, NY and they had 6 children. The children were born in the Smithville Flats area of Chenango Co.. It is just outside of Greene, NY. Their names were: Clara H.,Celestia A. Rufus S. ,Nettie A., Prudence Jane. and Eli Tyler. I have the descendants from these people but have never been able to connect Charles and Daniel to any main Tyler Family. Would they be part of your Tyler family? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Marti Randall Searching: In Pa: Bailey, Darrow, Loomis, Monroe,Randall In NY: Bixby, Edgerton, Hackett, Randall, Tyler, -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, August 03, 1999 9:21 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Thompson, PA Hi Thomas Are you from the famous "Pumpkin Family " of Tylers?? 3. I am a new subscriber to "[email protected]" and noted w/ interest Mr. Sherwood's observations re ancestors in Lakeside and Thompson Run. Lakeside is about 6 or 8 mi west of Jackson, PA, in Susquehanna County, on route 492. Thompson, PA (it may have been called "Thompson Run" at one time, I do not know) is located about 6 to 8 miles east of Jackson, on route 171, accessible from Interstate 81, southbound, take the exit for Great Bend, 171 is a very pretty drive south through Susquehanna PA, into Thompson, down through Herrick, Forest City and Carbondale. Interestingly enough, my own Tyler ancestors were in Jackson and, before that, Herrick Center (also on Route 171), from about 1820, until they also moved to Binghamton, Broome Cty, NY in the 1890's. If any one has any details about Tylers from Otsego County, NY to Herrick, to Jackson, I'd be grateful. Thanks, and I'm glad to be aboard! Thomas E. 2. I remember as a child that there was a place called Thompson, Pa..It was around Jackson,Hop Bottom, Kingsley, Gibson area. It was very small and may not even be on maps any more. This would have been in the 30's and /or early 40's. Perhaps you might find it on an old map of Pa. Hope this helps. Paula

    3. I just posted Mock's in the Civil War database. This covers 206 entries in both the Confederate and Union armies. Due to the large amount of data, I have limited the use of graphics and other slow loading items! <s> Enjoy! The site was too busy tonight to add the link to the Mock Listserve but you can find that information on my Home page. The site is re-indexing as I type and you should be able to use the search box at the top of the page. Each group of 10 soldiers has been alphabetized.
