Does anyone have any info. on Seneca TRIPP who d. in Middletown Township, PA ca. 1850. Especially looking for cemetery where he is buried.
Since this is such an active list <g>, thought I would once again post that I am still looking for JULIA HEARN, my g-g-grandmother. She married WILLIAM PENN(A)Y. He said she died Thanksgiving Day 1865. That's all I know about her, besides that they lived in Susquehanna County. Marie Pennay Thingelstad Kansas
I visited the Presbyterian Church in person, by appointment. They have very complete record books. I do not believe (from my conversation with the church secretary) that any records have been microfilmed or copied nor do they intend to do so or allow anyone else to. So in person or by mail is the only way. Sincerely, Kandy Fancher Bowden
Thanks Any thing at this point is helpful! Isaac HUBBELL married Annice or Annis AMES around 1816. He was born in PA; she was born in CT. They moved to Wyoming County, PA between 1850 and 1860. Looking for family of each. -Michelle DeRemer

Ted, Are you looking for a particular surname? Mary Jean is right about the Thompson cemetery. There are a couple of cemeteries in Wayne County right next door - in Orson, West Preston and Starrucca, to name a few. Hi Mary, Would by any chance Hattie Payne was in that Payne family. She is buried in the Thompson cemetery with a G.W. Gelatt. She was born in 1854 and died 1933. Prior to his death in 1928 she was married to Charles W. Myers. And up to her death she still had the name Myers at the time of her death. Thanks Hal Myers
Hi folks. I have a mystery on my hands. I have a photo of an A.M. Lee taken at the centennial celebration in 1876, she looks to be a woman in her late 40s or 50s. I have done extensive family research and can't figure out who this person is. Lately I have been thinking that she might be related to Charlie Payne who married our G Grandmother in his 50s and outlived her. I don't know who Charlie was related to, he was g grandmas third husband but lived until his death in the late 60s with our grandparents. Charlie and Polly Burns Coburn Payne lived in the Forest City. Polly was buried there in Forest City with G. Grandpa William Burns. Burns ancestors are buried in Clifford (Elkdale..thanks MJ) and in Greenfield at Sandy Banks. Does anyone know of an A.M. Lee or a Payne//Lee connection in the Susquehanna County area? Thanks Mary
Hi Mary Jean, You were right about Hattie, Payne must have been her maiden name. After G.W. Gelatt died, she married Charles W. Myers. And the date I have of her death was Apr 1933. and in Thompson. G.W. died in 1905 and she married Charles in 1909. He died in 1928 and buried with his first wife Sarah in the Clifford cemetery. Hope I can find some connections to her family. Thank you for all your help, you did great Thanks Hal Myers
Thanks Mary Jean, The information will be helpful, however I hope some out hteir knows of Hattie or the family. I was into your site, but did not see those names, must have missed them Thank You Hal
Does anyone know anything about the William LEWIS that is buried in the Lynn Cemetery at the Presbyterian church just north of Springville? ON STONE: "In memory of William Lewis, Who departed this life, Oct 4, 1850 Ae. 53y 1m 27d" Spouse? Children? place of birth? Parents? He seems to be a prime candidate for father of my Julianna maria LEWIS of Springville that married Pardon WELCH. To date, I have been not able to connect her to any of the Tri-county LEWIS families. I think she had a brother James P. Lewis. The 1880 Springville census shows James' parents being born in CT. He was a witness at Julianna-Pardon's wedding. If anyone is researching any LEWIS line in NE PA, I would like to know if any of this crosses your ressearch lines. Does anyone know if there are any records available for the Presbyterian Church in Montrose? My grandparents, George Washington French and Ella Frances Magee, were married at the Presbyterian Manse by Rev. John M. MacInnis in Montrose on 30 May 1906. Also the burial of one of their children, Bessie Adelia French on 20 Dec 1915 was officiated by Rev. F. A. Alden, pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Montrose. Thanks for your help, Dick Shoemaker Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309
