    1. My Introduction -
    2. Jim and Linda Stienstra
    3. Am I the last? I've read all the others! Anyway, I live in Central California -at the southern tip of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range - between Bakersfield and Edwards AFB where the space shuttle lands when there's bad weather in Florida!! My husband and I are both retired (one of those downsizing, early retirement things!) and are enjoying our grandchildren and traveling. I have made 3 trips to Pennsylvania doing "my genealogy thing"! I have tickets for another in the Spring! You see, genealogy is not my hobby, it is my passion! I belong to Historical Societies up and down the middle section of Pennsylvania, with Snyder County being the first one I joined!! (I also have a lot of Pennsylvania Dutch in my background!) My ties in Snyder County start with Joseph Britton and his wife Hannah Frane. They came to Chapman Twp, Union County before 1800 and are both buried in Grubbs Churchyard. I descend thru their daughter Mary and her husband William Carwell. They, too, are buried in Grubbs. Their son Joseph Britton Carvell married first, Rebecca Mark, second Mary Hyle. It is thru the first marriage that my g-g-grandfather was born. Jeremiah Mark Carvell was born in McKees 1/2 Falls in 1843. Rebecca died in 1848. Descendents of Joseph B. and Mary still reside on his property near Richfield. I had the wonderful opportunity to meet some of them this fall!! Joseph B and Mary are both buried in East Salem. These are my links - I'll get into my brickwall later!!! I wish for each of you, the happiest of new years!! And may each one of you climb over your brick wall in 1998!!!
