In my 2gr grandmother's Bible is written: "Jacob Fisher great grandparent born in year 1769-Died in year 1850 - 81 yrs. Great Grand Mother Fisher Cristena Fisher Born in year 1773-Died in year 1838 age 65 yrs. David Fisher Grand Parent Born in yr. 1797 - Died in yr.1838 - Age 58 yrs Christena Fisher Grand Mother Christena Fisher our Grand Mother born in year 1807 aged 39 yrs Died in year 1846 Catherine Cashteter, our Mother's Aunt Born in yr. 1800 Died June 23, 1890. Age 90 yrs. Mother: Mary Houseworth born 1832 March 20 Died April 18, 1916. aged 84 years." Mary Houseworth was Mary Fisher, descendant of those listed above. She married Jacob Houseworth in Selingsgrove PA circa 1850. Mary spoke German and did not learn English until later in life. She and her husband, Jacob Houseworth, are buried in Illinois, as is Mary's second husband, William Rucker. I have not yet begun to do official research on this family of Fishers.
