    3. Maybe this is the answer to the Middleswarth School question. At this WebSite: http://politicalgraveyard.com/bio/micheau-middleswarth.html there is this paragraph: "Middleswarth, Ner (1783-1865) Born in New Jersey, December 12, 1783. Served in the U.S. Army during the War of 1812; member of Pennsylvania state house of representatives, 1815-41; member of Pennsylvania state senate; U.S. Representative from Pennsylvania 10th District, 1853-55; county judge, 1858. Died in Beavertown, Snyder County, Pa., June 2, 1865. Interment at Union Cemetery, Beavertown, Pa. See also: congressional biography." However, the statement that he was born in New Jersey appears to be in error. Go to this WebSite: http://bioguide.congress.gov/scripts/biodisplay.pl?index=M000695 and see this paragraph: "MIDDLESWARTH, Ner, 1783-1865 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------- MIDDLESWARTH, Ner, a Representative from Pennsylvania; born in Glasgow, Scotland, December 12, 1783; immigrated to the United States in 1792 with his parents, who settled in New Jersey; moved to Beavertown, Pa., the same year; had a very limited education; served as a captain in the War of 1812; member of the State house of representatives 1815-1841 and served as speaker two terms; served in the State senate 1853-1855; elected as a Whig to the Thirty-third Congress (March 4, 1853-March 3, 1855); was not a candidate for renomination in 1854; engaged in agricultural pursuits; president of the Beaver Furnace Co. in Snyder County; associate judge of Snyder County in 1858; died in Beavertown, Snyder County, Pa., June 2, 1865; interment in Union Cemetery." I am researching the Middlesworth / Middleswarth family. Just curious.
