Someone on this list inquired about a Cyrus Bowersox last week. I will give you some of what I have on that family. Cyrus Bowersox married Julianna Bingaman on Nov 10, 1872. They are both buried in the Zion Cemetery in Snyder County. Cyrus, born March 7, 1850 and died Feb 6, 1907 Julianna, born July 29, 1853 and died Oct 7, 1905 They had at least 2 children. 1. James, born Sept. 6, 1873 and died Jan 3, 1937. He married Bessie Walter. They had Eva who married George Smith and a second marriage to Jay Bingaman. 2. William Arthur, born Dec 6, 1888 and died Aug. 24, 1956. He married a Delia G. They lived in Columbus, Ohio. They had at least one child, Dorothy. Cyrus's father was David Bowersox, born 1819. David married Lucy Ann Yisley. They had at least five children: 1. Perry, who married Amanda ? 2. Cyrus, who married Julianna Bingaman 3. James, who married Kate Kelly 4. Hello once again Larry, I have a great-great grandmother named Julianna Bingaman born 3/8/1824 in Union (now Snyder) Co. died 2/20/1887 in Monroe(?) Twp., Snyder Co. My records show she was the daughter of Yost Henry Bingaman (1785-1845) and Catherine *unknown* (1786-1857) and the granddaughter of Frederick Bingaman (1755 -1845) and Maria Christina Hufnagle (1758-1818). Julianna married Samuel Smith on 25 Mar 1845. Their family Bible shows names for eleven children born to this couple, but the name Julianna does not appear among the names. I have 314 descendants and 153 spouses of descendants for Julianna & Samuel Smith. Are you able to tell me the relationship between my Julianna (Bingaman) Smith and your Julianna Bingaman who married Cyrus Bowersox in 1872? My guess would be that my Julianna might be an aunt of your Julianna. What do you think? Nelson R.
