Surnames: Mark Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/wdB.2ACI/841.1.1 Message Board Post: Hello Steve, I think you found the family. This could be indeed a twist of Frank B. to Benjamin Franklin. Since my original message I know now (death certificate of Frank B.) that the father was indeed a John Mark. Selingsgrove was handed down through family tradition, which at times is not too reliable as we both know. Also, you know Benjamin F./Frank B. was born in October 1860 - with other words after the census had been taken. So, the age also checks out - great. If we can't find John in the 1880 Census he must have died early, however I also know now that Benj F. had a much younger sister 'Lottie', born in 1876 - according to a 1930 Census. She lived in the neighboring county Perry, Liverpool Borough. Many thanks for all you help. Could you let me know the reference page, E.D., etc. of the two Censuses. I would greatly appreciate it. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/wdB.2ACI/841.1 Message Board Post: Could "Frank B" be a twist on Benjamin Franklin? The 1870 census for Perry twp, Snyder Co, lists: Mary Mark, 38; Cornelius, 14; Benjamin, 9; Lavina 11; Ann, 6; Lydia, 3; and John, 1 (in that order). The 1860 lists John Mark, 30; Mary, 29; Cornelius, 3; and Luvina, 1. I find nothing in 1850 (from the index). What was your source for the Selinsgrove reference? I may have found this Benj F in Ohio in 1880 - not Michigan or Indiana. ?? Maybe I'm in the wrong boat. Steve

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/wdB.2ACI/842.1 Message Board Post: Allison: My notes have a George, born in the 1770's, died 1834, married to Catherine, who was born in the 1780's, and died about 1840. I believe he was the son of John Aumiller, who died in 1815. This John was the son of Philip Conrad Aumiller, who died in 1787. George and Catherine had nine children, and I think most of the Aumiller name in Snyder County goes back to them. Steve
