Hello, The Hon. Ner Middleswarth of Snyder County had a sister Mary, b. abt. 1785, of Morris Co, NJ, according to the International Genealogical Index(IGI). Mary Middleswarth, b. 12/24/1789, d. 6/5/1856 in Snyder Co, PA was married abt. 1811 to John Dreese(1779-1847) in my files. This union is attributed, in my file, to Lewis Ruble, an internet source, and not researched by me. Now I have found, in Charles Fisher's "Snyder County Probate and Orphans Court Records", the entry of 9/--/1816 for John Middleworth of Beaver Twp. It lists children Ner, Abraham, Mary(Mrs. John Freed), Rachel(Mrs. Jacob Keller), Martha, Rebecca. Can anybody straighten this out for me? Was Mary married to John Dreese, or John Freed? I think I would tend to go with the Court record as being accurate, for the year it was written, 1816. Was she married to John Dreese at another time, or is there just a confusion of two similar-sounding names? By the way, this record mentions no wife for John Middleworth, and I have his wife, Martha Reed, living until 1824, according to her tombstone next to his in Adamsburg Cemetery. I would appreciate any help from sources familiar with any of these three surnames. Bruce Fosnocht

Hi Sidney, Levi Snook and Margaret Wolfart Snook are my ancestors. Penns Creek is 'over the mountains' from Loganton, Greene Twp, Clinton County, PA. I might 'assume' they were in Clinton County, Pa when they died. I suggest you see if you can you find him in Clinton County Census in 1910. You also might want to post a query to PACLINTO-L list also. If you have more info on the children of Levi and Margaret Snook, please let me know, I only have one child collected so far. You might want to add a query to my Clinton County, Pa genealogy page, at http://www.kcnet.org/~history . Hi, Sue is correct, listmail should be considered safe as attachments are not allowed. I have my personal email set up not to accept or send anything with an attachment but I still occasionally receive a "virus attempt" meaning an email that I know was a virus but the attachment is gone. I can tell you all that the PASnyder list has absolutely been bombarded lately with SPAM attempts, etc. That is one reason I do not have the list set up to automatically receive everthing I receive as the list Manager. I am not at my home computer right now but will look more into virus issue when I am at home this evening and will touch bases with all of you again. Vanessa PASnyder List Manager
Check your mail before opening it. If you get a message with _ before the name delete it immediately. One hit me yesterday and I have it quarantined. Another tried to hit me again last night. Fortunately a mailing list I am on warned us of what to look for. So I didn't get hit again.
I'll second that. Grisoft's AVG is a great (FREE) program which I use in addition to Norton (that I paid for), and works just as good. It adds taglines to the bottom of all out-going mail to, after it's been scanned first (see tags at the bottom of this email). Those of you who already have the AVG, remember to check every day or so for new updates. Don't rely on them to notify you! There has been 3 updates in just this past week. Charles, This Badtrans.B virus is running wild through all RW members' personal email addys. List mail is safe and cannot transmit a virus. OE users need to make sure their anti-virus programs are up to date as this particular virus opens itself up as soon as it's sent. If you don't have an anti-virus program, you will be infected immediately.
