Resolution of Thanks For Care of Soliders Lots Adopted. Gowen Post No.23 G.A.R.,elected the following officers for the ensuing year at the regular meeting Thursday evening. Commander Christian Staehle; Senior Vice Commander Daniel Donne Jr., Vice Commander F.J. Simon, Quartermaster C.A. Kershner, Chaplin Reuben Jones, Officer of the Day, C.P. Potts; Officer of the Guard, E.W. Mennig, Sentinel, Benjamin Jenkins; Trustees, Christian Staehle, Daniel Donne and Benjamin Jenkins; Auditors, F.J. Simon, Daniel Donne and C.P. Potts; Representatives to State. Camp, Daniel Donne and Benjamin Jenkins. The Post in a resolution acknowledges with gratitude the earnest work and contributions of the societies, organizations and high school of this city, in securing and presenting to Gowen Post a perpetual care certificate of the soldiers lots in the Odd Fellows cemetery, where rest many of our comrades and to the committee who labored so earnestly in the work, the Post tendered most sincere thanks.
