Author: karenmeasel196 Surnames: Richards Faulds Mitchell Classification: death Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.pennsylvania.counties.schuylkill/11985/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Pottsville Republican Newspaper November 18, 1910 Coldy confessing in an affidavit to a double crime, either of which in some sections would arouse mob fury to such a pitch that lynching would be considered far to good for the fiend, Frank Mitchell was brought from Coaldale to Pottsville this morning and lodged in prison by the State Police after telling how he shot to death Mrs. Mary Richards age 65, at Aucheys in South Manheim Township, when she made a futile attempt to save her daughter from brutish assault. Peter Faulds returned home at 6'o'clock last evening and found his Mother-in Law in a pool of blood and his wife with her face disfigured by cruel blows. A search about the farm failed to find and trace of Mitchell, a youth of 20 years who had been employed there for several months.
