My ancestor is Jacob Fisher who may been an early schoolmaster. His wife was Elizabeth. He had a son named Jacob who married Catherine Filbert, and had a family of seven sons and one daughter. Two of his sons were named Jacob and Daniel. Daniel was born in 1820, and married Lydia Spankuchen of Pine Grove in 1845. Daniel moved to Pottsville, and then on to Mahanoy City. He died in 1905. Jacob lived in Fountain Springs and Ashland, and died about 1907. I hope to find more information about any of these families.
